During the past year, the commercials for the Droid brand of Android phones have done a great job promoting Google’s OS to the general public – in America perhaps even more so than Google itself. I have personally been pretty impressed by several of them, and I remember that I was very intrigued by the [...]

TechCredo continues to relentlessly spam the blogosphere with official homescreen wallpapers from various Android devices – this time the stock wallpapers from the Samsung Galaxy S (a.k.a. Captivate/Vibrant/Fascinate).

Nokia’s Symbian powered devices may still often have better cameras than Android phones, but since you’re basically stuck with the default camera application on Symbian, Android gets the upper hand nonetheless. There are excellent camera apps on the Android Market that are state-of-the-art, cool as heck and make taking great looking photos more easy, fun [...]

The Home Launcher app from the LG Optimus was ported to other Android phones over at xda-developers the other day, and I found the official LG Optimus wallpapers below in that .apk. A few of them are quite nice.

The ROM from the upcoming T-Mobile G2 recently got leaked, and these six new HTC homescreen wallpapers were extracted from it. There were other wallpapers as well, but only backgrounds we’ve seen many times before on other HTC Sense handsets. If more new preloaded wallpapers are made available once the G2 is released, they’ll be [...]

As you may have noticed, the best and most useful Android widgets usually come bundled with quality apps in order to extend the functionality of them. There are of course superb standalone widgets, like Pure Messenger, SwitchPro and Beautiful Widgets, but they will set you back a few bucks. Nevertheless, there are plenty of cool [...]

For all Motorola Droid X owners who have flashed a custom ROM (if that’s even possible) and want their original wallpapers back, or for those that just want to give their Android phones a bit of Droid X look and feel, here are the default backgrounds from the device. A few of them are actually [...]

Back in May, Gameloft released a series of games for Android to mixed reactions. On one hand, the company was praised for the impressive graphics its lavish games featured, but at the same time Gameloft received criticism for not making the titles available in the Android Market. To add insult to injury, Gameloft initially had [...]

There are already many superb games for Android, and there’s no doubt in my mind that it soon will become one of the world’s greatest mobile gaming platforms. One can only imagine what the games will look like at the end of the year, when they can be powered by devices with dual-core 1.5 GHz [...]

I’ve stumbled upon eBoy’s pixel art from time to time on the interwebs, but I’ve always thought it looked too busy – at least to be used as Android wallpapers. However, when tinkered with, they look great. Engadget’s Joshua Topolsky is apparently a huge fan, and the first thing he does whenever he gets a [...]

Breaking Bad is easily one of the best, most engaging, original, nuanced, well-performed and superbly executed dramas I have ever seen on a TV screen. You got to applaud a series that can go on for five minutes without any of the characters uttering a word, and without any music being played; neither diegetic nor [...]

I recently checked out a port of Samsung’s TouchWiz: the launcher that is featured on the Android powerhouse Samsung Galaxy S. The port, courtesy of xda-developer’s member rolle3k, is mainly intended for the Nexus One, although it worked fine on my HTC Desire as well. I loved the look of the icons in the app [...]
